The Gospel of Jesus Christ emcompasses much more than a few Scripture versus in someones signature line
.
I would agree and don't think Art was saying the summary he offered was all that was needed. As a summarry, I beleive a person could say the gospel reveals the plan God in pursuit of a bride, beginning in Genesis.
While I am not apposed to the common idea that the gospel is found in the first four books of the new testament, I believe its only the conclusion of the totality of the good news. I personally like to think of the whole word of God, emcompasses the gospel.

The real solution for this country does not only lie in the voting booth, but in the returning of hearts and minds to the Savior. Particularly in these times.
Amen.
Christians should be in politics, because Christ needs to be in our government.Indeed the government should be upon His Shoulders.
In one sense Christ does indeed shoulder the goverments of this world. According to my opinion it is more of matter are we taking on His yoke, by faith to make it light, or walking after the course of this world by sight. Christ, I beleive is working in all the governments of this world, as a King from a kingdom not of this world .Seeing we cannot vote righteousness into office what we see as a nation is a reflection of the heart of it as a whole. Whether that be a communistic form of goverment or what we call democracy it is leading to the end of the matter, when the different kingdoms of this world will become one kingdom in the new heavens and earth..
Pro 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
The separation of church and state was never intended to keep God out of government affairs but to keep the government from intruding on God's affairs.
The separation of Church and state is an idea which is not in the constitution to begin with. But has become a way for the State to explain away its intruding into the affairs of God. It is simply another of the wiles of the devil.
The state of any nation in effect is the church. While some say you cannot legislate morality, to not legislate morality is to legislate immorality. The idea of a neutrality in regard to the the affairs of God just points I beleive to a lukewarm nation. If reformation does not appear the end will.
Where it becomes an issue , which is what I believe Art is contending, is that Christ does not take the back seat in the process.
One of the questions might be .What kind of good works might we as a nation do to do the works God requires to bring reformation? One State recently suggested drug testing when helping the less fortunate, another border control seeing a city with it walls broken down is headed for destruction..
While I do not advocate George Carlin his quote below is a sign of the times..Sad but true.
The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse: You cannot post “Thou shalt not steal,” “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” and “Thou shalt not lie” in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment.” ― George Carlin
