If God the Word is not also Jehovah (not the Word made flesh, but the Word which has been since the beginning before He was made flesh), then why did Christ Jesus say of Himself (as the Word) "before Abraham was, I AM" (the very same Name revealed to Moses as being Jehovah)
? In fact, even the Jews of whom Christ said that their father was the Devil, the murderer from the beginning, completely understood what Christ meant when He said this--that He, the Word, and thus being God, Jehovah, who also is the Father and the Holy Spirit (since Peter informs us that the same Jehovah speaking to the Prophets of old was the Holy Ghost)--was in the days of Abraham. The Jews chided Christ by saying "you are not yet even 50 years old".

He is the second person of the trinity, the Son and referred to as Adonai in the old testament while Jehovah is the Father. All three collectively are named Elohim. And all three are equal and form the Godhead. So lets keep this precious psalm 110 free of contention, ok??

But let us be sure of one thing, the teaching of the trinity is very complex and our finite minds cannot quite understand it fully. Nonethe less in Psalm 110, the Father (LORD) in caps, is addressing the Son (Lord) lower case.
