The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine
enemies thy footstool. (Ps 110)
It is clear here that God the Father (LORD- all caps), known as Jehovah, is talking to His beloved Son (Lord- lower case), known as Adonai.
To enhance this thought, we read in Matt 22 the following:
22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David.
22:43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
