I think its pretty clear that politics is dominating this board and heresey hunting comes in a hearty second.

It would be difficult for the political climate to not be in the foreground of most of the people in this nation. The Fraud in office and his political allies have managed to destroy a great deal of the freedoms this country once enjoyed and have generated a real sense of impending doom that is so historically alien to the minds of us that live here.
But your point is well taken Art, or at least it should be. Because the real problem this Nation has is the fact that they have turned away from the God who has Blessed and Protected this land. If one really cared to honestly look at what has transpired over the last 3 years, it should be clear that it is the culmination of many years of the meticulous removal of all aspects of God from our government, from our children and from our lives; and while it is convenient, and perhaps even justified to throw angry accusations at those who have legislated against our freedom, the ultimate blame belongs to all of us, who passively permitted these issues to grow; who remained willfully blind as they took hold.
So the message of the Gospel... the message of repentance should also be in the foreground during the chaotic days. The real truth is that what we are going through is not the result of a party and a fraud forcing his will upon us, but rather the result of a nation that turned it's back on God. The real solution for this country does not only lie in the voting booth, but in the returning of hearts and minds to the Savior. Particularly in these times.
Christians should be in politics, because Christ needs to be in our government. Indeed the government should be upon His Shoulders. The separation of church and state was never intended to keep God out of government affairs but to keep the government from intruding on God's affairs.Where it becomes an issue , which is what I believe Art is contending, is that Christ does not take the back seat in the process. Jesus is above all. To lose sight of that I believe is to play into the hands of the enemy, and to just further widen the gap between us and the real solution to this dilemma. If we do not return Jesus to his rightful place in our hearts and in our lives, it will not matter what political changes occur; this country will fail.
