I would agree with Ryld in most of his definition, however I am fairly certain that Jehovah is limited to the Father, and Elohim refers to the entire Godhead and Adonai is referring to the Son. But let us be sure of one thing, the teaching of the trinity is very complex and our finite minds cannot quite understand it fully. Nonethe less in Psalm 110, the Father (LORD) in caps, is addressing the Son (Lord) lower case.





For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:


For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
