In the psalm, God The father was speaking to God The Son. Both are David's lords; david used different words to differentiate between Father and Son, while recognizing both as his lords, with the greater honor going to The Father. The KJV translators recognized this & thus capitalized the first LORD. But The Father is not The Son nor is He the Holy Spirit. To say they're the same Personage is modalism.

But at any rate, David looked for Shiloh, the Messiah, and he knew, when he wrote that Psalm, that He was the Son of God, and Himself God.  JESUS cited this verse to prove the Pharisees wrong, as well as to enlighten them and whosoever else heard His conversation with them.
