Do you consider speaking out against a government decision a complaint? If so, where do you draw the line? If that decision (say abortion) goes against Scripture, are we to speak out against it? How about homosexuality and the government limiting a churches ability to speak about the sin of this act? Are we allowed to speak out against that or would that just be a complaint?

That's about the way I think on this issue. There are many laws of the land that violate the Law of God. When that is the case I believe we not only are to vote against them but to vocally express the reason for our disagreement. We are to single out those that advocate such atrocities as "gay marriage" and "Planned Parenthood" ...(a euphemism for abortion on demand). I think to not speak out against such things that our money goes to finance is akin to acceptance of these. The saying goes that all evil needs to succeed is for good men to do nothing. We are guilty of doing nothing too long.

I agree with Art as well, the fact that God can and does use those in Power to chastise humanity is a constant theme in the old testament Prophets. But what is also a consistent theme is the fact that those that were His Chosen allowed such atrocities to begin with. That what He made Holy they had profaned.

Such I believe is the situation that America is facing today. For more than a generation this country has silently permitted these insane ideas to fester and grow into the cancer they have become. The speaking out against it should have happened decades ago.. and not waited until the fabric of this nation has become rotted and torn. So I do not believe it's wrong to speak out. If nothing else it will at least define where we stand. Though I do fear that now it is an exercise in futility. For many years now we have been pushing God from our land, and I believe we are now just feeling the birth pangs of His removing His Benevolence. If He did not spare His Chosen... what chance do we have of Mercy?
