Sorry, cheez, I misunderstood what you were asking.  When we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the altar, we are to be Christ bearers. This is where reality and appearance show their difference. The substance of the bread and wine do not change in appearance, but in reality it IS Jesus Christ.

Our bodies become the tabernacle of Christ in the world. We are all called by Jesus, but not everybody listens.

Did anybody else notice that she never did answer the question? The point is just what does ingesting this supposedly divine wafer actually accomplish? Since the "host" is digested in probably thirty minutes then isn't the Catholic a "tabernacle" for only 30 minutes? The fact that Catholics Sunday after Sunday go again and again to receive their Jesus proves that Christ does not permanently reside within them as Scriptures state about those who receive Christ by faith. The other point that shows how she simply glossed over what receiving the "host" actually accomplishes (touched on by ryld) is the fact that Rome only requires that RCs receive the "host" once a year (usually at Christmas or Easter) which again proves that this receiving the "host" accomplishes more than what cla claimed. Rome can teach whatever she likes (though I disagree vehemently with many of her unbiblical dogmas) but to misrepresent what they teach by the many online apologists of that church is troubling and disappointing. CLA was simply giving her opinion not Roman dogma.

This what Rome really teaches. Millions are directed by Rome to worship the Eucharist ‘‘with supreme adoration’’ (paragraphs 1378-1381). As if this were not serious enough, the Mass claims to be not merely a symbolic ritual, but an actual sacrifice. In the ‘offering of the Mass’ there is a real victim, the Lord Jesus, under the appearance of bread and wine. Rome teaches that the sacrifice of the Mass and the sacrifice of the cross are one and the same. When the priest offers up the bread and wine on the altar, it is considered by Rome to be a true and proper sacrifice whereby Jesus, in an unbloody immolation, offers Himself a most acceptable victim to God, as He did on the cross, for the sins of the living and the dead. Any Roman Catholic Catechism will confirm this. Roman Catholics take the Mass in order to receive the benefits of the sacrifice of the cross. It is a sacramental part of their salvation. It bothers me that cla who claims not to be an apologist would give such a vague and misleading answer.

On her claim that it is those her age or older that reject the doctrine the truth is young Catholics who are (and were) dragged to Mass by their parents who do not believe in the abhorrent Aristotelian doctrine of transubstantiation. God gave them a mind and common sense and they choose to reject it because of what their senses comprehend, that it is merely a piece of bread. Rome can claim what she likes, but her claims are empty and ridiculous and an affront to Almighty God. That is one reason why the RCC is losing members and many simply stopped go to Mass. Our duty is to reach those disillusioned with "church" with the Gospel of Christ. I grow weary of the claim of not properly instructed. Why cannot Catholics like cla simply admit that many are abandoning their faith because the claims of Rome cannot be found in Scripture and many Catholics are seeking the truth which they have decided cannot be found in the RCC and are desperately seeking those with an answer. That is what the Pope means by evangelizing, those who claim to be Catholics and who are leaving the church in droves! They must keep them away from listening to those armed with the Gospel message that Jesus Christ alone saves without the rituals and peculiar (false) doctrines of any denomination!
