History supports my last sentence. When christians are persecuted, we quickly learn who the real ones are. Then their faith grows and the core teachings of the bible are upheld and the body of Christ will grow eventually.

History supports it up to the point when Emperor Constantine quit persecuting Christians and named "Christianity" the "state religion" and turned the persecution towards those deemed pagans.

Proverbs 29:2 "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."
